Editorial: balance – Journal L’Economiste du Faso

UA new wind seems to be rising in terms of tax communication in Faso. The Directorate General of Taxes, since the arrival of its current leader, has taken a proactive approach to interest, retain and encourage its leading taxpayers. The Coris Group and the mobile telephone operator Orange received a visit and congratulations from the hierarchy of the tax services. But before that, the members of the government and those of the Transitional Legislative Assembly officially paid the residence taxes and the TVM. Pedagogy by example. And that this example which comes from in top makes oil spot on the level of all the taxpayers. In these difficult times, economically and financially and where most SMEs/SMIs are brooding while waiting for better fortune, this is an essential initiative for the Public Treasury, which is watching over its eggs. Today more than yesterday, taxpayers big or small should not fail in their duty. More than civic-mindedness, it is the patriotic commitment of taxpayers that is called upon here to face the war. However, it would take a good dose of understanding when companies would come to be in difficulty of payment, because the pressure for the payment of the arrears of the tax debt should not be source of closing of companies. Which would be counterproductive in this time of war.
