Ejjadi’s Comedy; Four after catch, but not one catch; Laughing Kiwis

Bangladesh is unbeaten in the tri-nation series between New Zealand-Pakistan-Bangladesh teams. Bangladesh lost to Pakistan by seven wickets in today’s match.

Bangladesh Tigers also lost in the match between Bangladesh and New Zealand the previous day. The Black Caps defeated Bangladesh by 48 runs without touching the ground.

An interesting incident happened in the game that happened the other day. This incident is more talked about than New Zealand’s victory.

The highlight of the last game was that the New Zealand players repeated the same mistakes seen by Pakistan’s consistent fielders.

There have been many incidents from the Pakistani players’ side where two or three players come after a catch but even one of them is unable to complete the catch. Syed Ajmal and Kamran Akmal clash and lose the catch is one of the most watched videos in cricket.

One such incident is from the New Zealand players’ side. But four people including the bowler and the wicketkeeper came out ready to catch. But the four watched without taking a catch.

Another interesting fact is that the incident happened in the very first innings of Bangladesh’s innings. Bangladesh player Najmul Hossain Shantok was given a life extension due to the stupidity of Kiwi players.

Najmul Hossain, who tried to beat the star Trent Bolt, was completely wrong. After the ball which suddenly rose, four players rushed to catch it.

Star Devon Conway called for a catcher but stopped short of catching as he noticed others coming. Others did not make the catch, hoping Conway would catch it.

But the ball fell in the middle of the four. Boult would have beaten Conway for missing an easy catch.

Najmul Hossain was also unable to take advantage of the life he got in the first innings. The player got out after scoring 11 runs off 12 balls.

Chasing the target of 209 runs set by New Zealand, Bangladesh managed to score just 160 runs. Shakib Al Hasan scored 70 runs off 44 balls and was the top scorer in the Bangladesh line-up.
