Culiacán, Sinaloa – In response to rising insecurity in the city, 100 elite members of the Special Forces arrived on November 28, 2024. They landed by air at the military air base in Culiacán.
This new arrival brings the total to 200 elite members sent to the city within one week, as another group of 100 arrived previously on November 25. The forces reached the city around 4:00 PM. After unloading their luggage, they were moved to the military base and then to the Ninth Military Zone for deployment.
These forces are part of security plans to protect Sinaloa, addressing a recent surge in crime affecting local residents.
Authorities have not indicated whether more troops will arrive, but they have assured citizens of their commitment to enhancing safety and combating crime in the region.
