Abu Dhabi: Investigation against a private company for publishing an unskilled job advertisement for locals. The UAE Public Prosecution has announced that it will investigate the company’s CEO.

The public prosecution said in a social media post that the job advert breached the inherent directives​​​​​​ and media content standards as it contained controversial content.

The Federal Department of Investigations has stated that it has noticed a controversial advertisement from a suspicious company announcing vacancies for natives. The content of the advertisement violated the provisions of Ministerial Decision No. 279 on monitoring mechanisms related to indigenous people in the private sector.

Federal prosecutors dealing with rumors and cybercrimes immediately opened an investigation into the incident and questioned the company’s CEO about the allegations.

The Attorney General, who ordered the investigation to be completed immediately, asked the companies to comply with the regulations and directives set out in Ministerial Decision No. 279 and to increase the number of indigenous workers in the private sector to activate their role as key partners. in developing the labor market and promoting the country’s economic progress.

It is proposed to increase the number of Swadeshi workers in skilled jobs in the private sector by two percent. Private companies with 50 or more employees must return at a rate of two per cent each year. In this way, indigenous​​​​ will increase to 10 percent by 2026.

The deadline for implementing the return will expire on December 31. The ministry will intensify the inspection from January 1. Companies that do not implement the indigenous process will have to pay fines by January . Companies that do not comply with the law and provide false information will be fined between Dh20,000 and Dh100,000.

At present, one native should be appointed for every 50 employees. Companies that do not employ an employee must pay a fine of Dh6,000 per month and Dh72,000 per year.
