Empowering Young Minds: Eco-Hope Design Leads the Charge in Burundi’s Education Revolution
Every year, printing company Hope Design awards the best winners of the national competition to support quality education. During the solemn opening ceremony of the school year 2024-2025 in the province of Rumonge on Monday September 16, 2025, Mélance Buregeya, the promoter and General Director of this graphic industry, alongside the Minister of National Education and Scientific Research François Havyarimana presented awards to the six. the top winners of the national competition, 2024 edition.
This act aims to celebrate academic excellence while encouraging Burundian youth to persevere in their educational ambitions. Also present was the representative of UNICEF in Burundi, the ambassador of the People’s Republic of China in Burundi as well as other partners from the Ministry of Education.
Each winner pocketed an envelope of 800,000 FBu
An envelope of 800,000 FBu, together with some products from this graphic industry was given to each of the brilliant students from the different states of the country. All five new states of Burundi were represented. With a score of 195 out of 200, Ange Christa Nimubona is the first winner awarded by Hope Design and evolved at Ngagara High School of Excellence (Western Region). The Southern region was represented by Bless julianna Iteriteka (189.5/200) from Makamba High School of Excellence. In the West, the Hope Design printing company was awarded by Egide Ndikumana, a young student from Rusengo High School of Excellence Ruyigi Provincial Directorate.

The beneficiaries were happy and welcomed the Hope Design initiative with the aim of supporting quality education.
Other winners awarded by Hope Design are, among others, Queen Bettina Ingabire, a student at Musinzira High School of Excellence in Gitega community and state (Central Region), Marie Sabrina Ngabirano of Musenyi High School of Excellence Provincial Directorate of Teaching by Ngozi and Eric Mugisha , a student from the Batwa community who got an excellent mark compared to the others in this national 9th Basic competition.
