Actor Eric Dane, known for his roles in “Gray’s Anatomy” and “Euphoria,” recently discussed his amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) diagnosis in an emotional interview. The 52-year-old revealed the impact of the disease, which affects nerve cells and muscle control, during a conversation with Diane Sawyer on “Good Morning America.”
Dane shared the daily reality of living with ALS. Despite the challenges, the actor remains determined to maintain a positive outlook and continue his work.
The “Euphoria” actor revealed his diagnosis in April, expressing gratitude for his family’s support as he navigates this new chapter.He shares two daughters, Billie Beatrice, 15, and Georgia Geraldine, 13, with his wife, Rebecca Gayheart, 53. Gayheart had filed for divorce in 2018, but the case was dismissed in March.
Dane is currently filming Season 3 of “Euphoria,” where he plays cal Jacobs. He expressed feeling fortunate to continue working and appreciates the privacy afforded to his family during this time.
“Every morning, it hits me as soon as I wake up that this is my reality,” Dane said.
