The collaboration effectively ended the debate about whether the two were the same person, a theory fueled by fans noticing similarities and Chalamet’s own playful ambiguity.
EsDeeKid, whose real name remains unconfirmed, is currently on his first U.S. Tour, kicking it off with a performance at Avondale Music Hall in Chicago on Tuesday, . Fan footage circulating online suggests a lively and energetic show. The tour continues this week with performances in New York City and Brooklyn, before heading to Los Angeles next week.
Adding to the momentum, EsDeeKid released a new single, “Omens,” today, . The track, produced by Cppo, Toom, and Wasa, features “thunderous production” and lyrics that showcase EsDeeKid’s distinctive style. Commenters have noted similarities between “Omens” and Playboi Carti and A$AP Rocky’s “New Choppa,” pointing to a potential influence or even a future collaboration.
The rise of EsDeeKid throughout 2025 captivated audiences, culminating in a UK top 10 hit and a remix of his song “4Raws” featuring Chalamet.
