EsDeeKid: New Music, US Debut & Tour Dates – Is Timothée Chalamet Behind the Mask?

The mystery surrounding EsDeeKid, the masked UK rapper, has officially been laid to rest. After months of speculation, Timothée Chalamet confirmed he is not EsDeeKid by collaborating with the artist on a remix of “4Raws” in December 2025, appearing in the music video together. The collaboration effectively ended the debate about whether the two were the same person, a theory fueled by fans noticing similarities and Chalamet’s own playful ambiguity.

EsDeeKid, whose real name remains unconfirmed, is currently on his first U.S. Tour, kicking it off with a performance at Avondale Music Hall in Chicago on Tuesday, . Fan footage circulating online suggests a lively and energetic show. The tour continues this week with performances in New York City and Brooklyn, before heading to Los Angeles next week.

Adding to the momentum, EsDeeKid released a new single, “Omens,” today, . The track, produced by Cppo, Toom, and Wasa, features “thunderous production” and lyrics that showcase EsDeeKid’s distinctive style. Commenters have noted similarities between “Omens” and Playboi Carti and A$AP Rocky’s “New Choppa,” pointing to a potential influence or even a future collaboration.

The rise of EsDeeKid throughout 2025 captivated audiences, culminating in a UK top 10 hit and a remix of his song “4Raws” featuring Chalamet. While the Chalamet connection initially drove much of the attention, the artist’s music has resonated independently, earning him a dedicated following. However, EsDeeKid reportedly did not appreciate a remix of “4Raws” by The Chainsmokers.

Chalamet’s involvement wasn’t entirely out of the blue. The actor, who once used the hip-hop moniker Lil Timmy Tim in high school, had been subtly hinting at a connection to the UK music scene. He casually referenced British singer Susan Boyle in a BBC News interview, a detail that struck many as unusual for an American actor. He also mentioned EsDeeKid collaborator Fakemink shortly after referencing Boyle, further fueling speculation.

The video collaboration, filmed at Andover Minimarket Off Licence in north London, saw Chalamet initially mirroring EsDeeKid’s signature masked look, revealing his face while rapping lines that directly addressed the rumors. He rapped, “It’s Timothée Chalamet chillin’, tryin’ to stack $100 million,” and referenced his partner, Kylie Jenner, with the line, “Girl got $1 billion.” He also used the opportunity to promote his recent film, Marty Supreme.

EsDeeKid’s tour schedule extends beyond the U.S., with dates planned in Australia and New Zealand throughout February. He is also slated to perform at Rolling Loud in Orlando this May and at Openair Frauenfeld in Switzerland in July.
