Eto’o calls on the Secretary of State for Defense to protect the national team

Samuel Eto’o, President of the Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT), sent an official message to Mr Galax Etoga, the Secretary of State for Defense in charge of the National Gendarmerie, to ensure that the Indomitable Lions bus is handed over safe for Garoua. The latter must ensure the transport of the national team for the qualifiers for the TOTALENERGIES Africa Cup of Nations “Morocco 2025”.

The much awaited meeting between the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon and the National Selection of Namibia is scheduled for September 7, 2024 at 5:00 pm at the Roumde Adia stadium in Garoua. In order to prepare for this trip, Eto’o noted that the official bus, which will transport the team for training and matches, will leave Yaoundé on August 31, 2024 at 3:00 am to arrive in Garoua.

Aware of the importance of this operation, Eto’o appealed to the good will of Mr. Etoga to implement the necessary security measures. “In view of the sensitivity and delicacy of these journeys, I request your intervention so that the necessary security arrangements are made for the Regions escort of the said bus to its final destination,” he said in his message.

“Therefore, as part of the first day of the qualifiers for the TOTALENERGIES Africa Cup of Nations “Morocco 2025” the Invincible Lions of Cameroon will play against the National Selection of Namibia on September 7, 2024 at 5:00 pm at the Roumde Adia Stadium in Garoua.

The official bus to transport our beloved National Team for its trips (training and match) to Garoua between September 3 and 8, 2024 will leave Yaoundé on August 31, 2024 at 3:00 am to arrive in the city of Garoua.

After the above meeting, the said bus will start its journey back to Yaoundé from September 8, 2024.

In view of the sensitivity and delicacy of these journeys, I request your kind authority to intervene so that the necessary security arrangements are made for the regional relay escort of the said bus to its final destination (Garoua). »
