When discussing periodontal disease in relation to POAAT, occlusion must always be examined in conjunction with changing periodontal conditions. If an adult patient has undergone POAAT along with sequential periodontal management and has decided to improve occlusion through full mouth rehabilitation, obtain centric relation first.
