Fake elections at HERE – Fedorov told how the voting goes

September 02, 2023, 18:38

On the last day of August, the Russian invaders launched fake “local elections” in the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk, Lugansk, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions. The mayor of Melitopol, Ivan Fedorov, told how this process actually takes place in an appeal to Melitopol residents.

According to him, the refusal of Ukrainians at the WTO to participate in campaigning or organizing relevant events forced the Russian Federation to bring the so-called guards, agitators and organizers from the Crimea temporarily occupied by it or its own territory. In addition, despite the admission to the “elections” of four parties, the occupiers actually allow only one to advance – there is no competition there.

“For the third day in a row, the enemy is imitating democracy called “elections.” He is forcing residents to vote at gunpoint. He brought extras from Russia. to agitate only the pro-Putin United Russia party and has already drawn a “record support” for it in 89% of the votes,” Fedorov said.

The mayor of Melitopol assured that the Russians are lying, that the results of the vote are supposedly recognized by the international community, and recalled last year’s pseudo-referendum. According to him, all this has nothing to do with the realities of life after the liberation of our lands from enemy soldiers. The “farce” staged by the aggressor and other fakes of the Kremlin will not change the plans of the Ukrainian military for de-occupation.

Today, the enemy is trying to somehow collect votes – surrounded by the military, at least on the hood, at least in the front garden, at least somehow collect some votes. And of course, you, who remained in the temporarily occupied territory, continue to resist,” urged Fedorov.

Earlier it was reported that the Security Service of Ukraine identified more than 3.5 thousand organizers and participants of the fake “elections” of the Russian Federation in the temporarily occupied regions of our country. It has been established that the invaders promise monetary rewards in the amount of 10,000 Russian rubles to representatives of the so-called “electoral commissions”.
