T1 recorded their first victory in the opening match of the ‘2022 League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) Spring’, the ‘League of Legends (LoL)’ e-sports competition held on the 12th.

T1 defeated Kwangdong Freecs 2-0 in the second match of the first day of the 2022 LCK Spring held at the Gran Seoul Tower Roll Park in Jongno-gu, Seoul on the afternoon of the 12th.

After the match, T1 ‘Faker’ Sang-hyeok Lee said in an interview after the game, “I am satisfied with the start of the first game of the new season.

Lee Sang-hyeok mentioned that in the first match of the day, he focused on maximizing the skills of each player. “I told the players that the basics were the most important,” Lee said.

Regarding the recent patch application, the player also said, “I think that the intervention of other lines can be reduced, and it can be uniform and variable unlike before.”

As for what he expects from T1 this year, he said, “I want the players to maintain a certain condition and become a team that always shows good performances.” Regarding the team that was formed after the reorganization after last season, “Each player has good performance, and it has become a complete team.”

He added, “I hope that the team can overcome difficult situations together.”

He analyzed that he learned areas for improvement while living with various coaches last year. In particular, he explained that he focused on the method of condition management. “It’s still early in the season, but it’s important to go up with the best form possible,” Lee emphasized.

He also mentioned the Asian Games to be held this year. “It is a great honor to participate in the Asian Games,” said Lee, “but the top priority is to improve the form before the goal of going to the Asian Games. If that happens, I expect that we will be able to get the honor of participating in the Asian Games incidentally.” said
