Fallout 4’s Next-Gen Update Faces Backlash from PC Players

Fallout 4’s next-gen update finally released yesterday, and while the patch looked respectable, the response didn’t seem to be positive.

Much of the anger over the patch came from PC players. On Steam, if you look at recent comments, you can see that players are screaming that the patch breaks the mod and doesn’t fix much of the base game.

“Finally updated the game, no problem solved. But now the mod I used to fix it doesn’t work. Another classic Todd move,” User birthdayjesus wrote. Elune77 did not mince his words and wrote: “ Thanks for the new update, Bethesda… I love that the game loads 16 times longer. I also like the fact that all my mods no longer work because you decided to ruin an almost 10 year old game. Why don’t you just make a new game and leave your old game alone, because the modders seem to know how to take care of it better than you.

These are just some of the opinions that have come in from angry PC gamers. While modders work to fix their creations, Bethesda appears to have shot itself in the foot with this one, especially after so many people returned to the Commonwealth following the Fallout TV show.
