Renowned YouTuber Nate MyMateNate took a dramatic step to offer his heartfelt apology to the police in Region 7. The Deputy Police Commissioner of Region 7 recently conducted an interview with Nate to address the controversial content in which the YouTuber claimed that 50 commando policemen were hired to film at an abandoned mall in Kanchanaburi Province.
Nate’s content regarding the presence of commando policemen quickly gained traction and became a social trend in the Tha Makham Sub-District of Mueang District. In an effort to rectify the situation, Nate, along with his team, met with Major General Uthai Kawindechathorn, the Deputy Commissioner of Police 7, on June 22. The purpose of the meeting was to express their sincerity and offer an apology. Additionally, they handed over the filming equipment used on the day of the incident and surrendered the firearms used during the performance, which were found to be BB guns. As for the pickup trucks used to transport the commandos, they were privately-owned vehicles, just like the sedan that was used to depict a police car.
Following the release of Nate’s YouTube content, Pol Gen Damrongsak Kittipraphat, the Chief of Police, instructed the establishment of a fact-finding committee to investigate the matter. The committee has been diligently pursuing leads since the content was published, including a thorough examination of the police officers involved in the show.
The committee’s findings revealed that a total of 30 individuals participated in the performance, with 8 of them being police officers and the remaining individuals being civilians. Most of the civilians had careers as supporting actors. The police officers who took part were from the Ramintra Police Aviation Department and the Phaholyothin border police station. Disciplinary action will be taken against the officers accordingly, while the civilian actors dressed as police officers are set to face legal prosecution.

He expressed his utmost respect for all police officers in the region and throughout Thailand, reassuring them that there were no ill intentions behind the content.
