Pathanamthitta: The father of Afsana, the prime accused in the case involving her husband’s alleged murder and burial, has come forward with disturbing allegations of police misconduct. Ali Shamsudeen alleges that the male police officers involved in the investigation abused and coerced the main witness, who had initially testified against his daughter.

According to Shamsudeen, the police went to great lengths to dissuade the witness from pursuing the case, repeatedly summoning him and subjecting him to physical violence.
