It is a rare sight to see four consecutive Malayalam films becoming blockbusters. Domestic tables in all theatres, tickets for favorite films are not available. This February is also a successful month for Malayalam cinema. Vijayakuthip started with two films which released on February 9.

Tovino Thomas in the lead role will find Inveshipin, Girish AD with Nazlin and Mamita Baiju in the lead roles. The film titled Premalu was released on February 9. Although both dealt with different themes, the audience took to both the films.

Then came Mammootty’s Bhrama Yuga. Released on February 15, the film was not similar in theme or presentation to the previous two films. The movie hit the theaters in black and white and made it a huge hit not only among the Malayali people but also among the foreign language movie lovers.

Manhummal Boyz from Chidambaram arrives in the midst of these leaps. The film, which got a lot of hype even before its release, is getting a great response from the theatres. After Jude Anthony’s 2018, the film is another survival thriller for Malayalam.

While producers are struggling to make even one film successful in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi, Malayalam is producing non-stop hits. Malayalam cinema has also been praised by the Tamil audience.

‘Main piece after main piece’ was written by the Tamil critic ‘Cinemapaiyan’ on platform X. Malayalam cinema is praised by famous critics in Tamil.

In terms of collections too, Malayalam cinema is raking in crores. Malayalam cinema earned about 120 crore rupees through the films Anveshipin Athupum, Premalu and Bhramayugam. Out of this, Premalu has crossed 50 crores and the illusion era is entering it. Manjumal Boys collected 1.47 crores on the first day through advance booking. Anyway, the Malayalam box office is getting brighter.
