Former Girl’s Day member and actress Yura recently revealed some behind-the-scenes information about her participation in the movie ‘Family Glory: Returns’.

In an interview with Star News held at a cafe in Seoul’s Samcheong-dong on the 26th, Yura shared several interesting stories related to the film.

‘Family Glory: Returns’, which was released on the 21st, is a comedy that revolves around the Jang family’s elaborate plan to secure a marriage proposal for their youngest daughter, Jin-kyung (played by Yoo Ra), from a popular star writer named Dae-seo (Yoon Hyun-min).

Yura played the role of Jin-kyung, the youngest daughter of the Jang family, in ‘Family Glory: Returns’.

Reflecting on her experience, Yura expressed her excitement about greeting the audience on stage for the first time. She mentioned the overwhelming support from the audience, particularly from the people of Daegu. Yura also conveyed her admiration for the teamwork and fun atmosphere during filming.

Playing a major role in the film was a new and different experience for Yura. She felt a sense of responsibility and appreciated the opportunity to showcase different aspects of her talent. Yura also shared her disappointment regarding the criticism she received for her character in the play.

Discussing the casting process, Yura revealed that she made an effort to arrive early on set to avoid causing any inconvenience to the production team. She mentioned that director Jeong Tae-won initially did not prioritize casting Yoon Hyun-min and herself for the roles but eventually recognized their potential. The director recalled Yura’s performance in ‘SNL’ and praised her versatility. Yura also disclosed that she had watched ‘Family Glory’ as a child and felt delighted to join the project.

Yura further explained the differences she encountered while filming a movie compared to a drama. The longer meetings and increased effort required for the film production made her adapt quickly and focus on making the experience enjoyable.

Although Yura had fewer scenes with veteran actress Kim Soo-mi, she enjoyed working closely with Yoon Hyun-min and Jae-hoon Tak, who brought a youthful energy to the set.

Actress Yura, a former member of the girl group Girl’s Day, shared behind-the-scenes information regarding the talk of the latter casting for ‘Family Glory: Returns’.

Yura had an interview with Star News at a cafe in Samcheong-dong, Seoul at 1pm on the 26th and told several stories related to the movie ‘Family Glory: Returns’.

‘Family Glory: Returns’, released on the 21st, depicts the Jang family’s life-or-death wedding plan, which hatches all kinds of conspiracies to get the family’s youngest daughter, Jin-kyung (Yoo Ra), to marry a popular star writer, Dae-seo (played by Yoon Hyun-min) a comedy.

First of the day, Yura said, “It was amazing because it was my first time greeting on stage. A lot of people came and it felt strange. There were definitely a lot of people with a higher average age. I remember the Daegu people encourage me a lot.”

When asked about playing the main role on screen, Yura said, “I was very moved and had a lot of fun filming it. Maybe because the film has a very exciting atmosphere, we came together as a team, and it was fun to prepare as if we were putting together a skit, less rushed than in a play and with lots of meetings.” “There was,” he said.

“This is the first time I’ve played such a big role, so the responsibility was different. This was the first time I worked on two works together in a drama film, so it was nice to be able to show different aspects of myself through the film. I try to do that on set so as not to cause trouble because of me.” Yura also mentioned that director Jeong Tae-won said, “Casting Yoon Hyun-min and Yura was not the first priority.”

“We got so close during filming that the director was actually very playful. People asked me why I was talking about secondary casting, but it is not easy to be a priority in every project, but MSG was put on the table. t like the other actors, but when you appeared, the reaction was good.’, and the director said that he suddenly remembered me from ‘SNL’. He said that the mention of ‘Ural Mountains’ reminded him of the a scene where I use a dialect. And ‘Family Glory’ was a work I saw when I was a baby. After filming the drama, I was in a very empty state when I got the offer. Yura continued, “Filming for a movie was a little different from shooting for a drama. The meetings were so long and I had to put a lot of effort into it, so I got used to it quickly thinking about how to make it fun.”

“I followed the script, but I tried to make it interesting and act like a corner. I didn’t have many scenes with teacher Kim Soo-mi. Most of the time, Hyun-min Yoon and Jae-hoon Tak were often by my side. I saw them swear when they were young. Haha.”
