Areum, a former member of the group Tiara, recently made a statement that has raised eyebrows and sparked controversy regarding custody of her children.
On the 11th, Areum responded to a netizen’s comment asking, “Are you raising your two sons by any chance?” by saying, “For a quick discussion, the children have been sent away from today.”
In another statement, she expressed her frustration by stating, “But we are in a difficult position because they decided to file a lawsuit without consulting us.”
Earlier, on the 10th, Areum shared news of her new partner, stating, “I have found someone who I want to always be by my side,” and “The kind of person I didn’t want to reveal because he is so precious to me. After much consideration, we have now decided to reveal our love with pride, which was so true that it began as if wrapped in an aurora.” After two years, they announced their divorce and remarried at the same time.
Areum is currently in the process of filing for divorce from her husband, citing past pain and making a point to not speak ill of him as he is the father of her children.
She added, “We will register our marriage as soon as the lawsuit is over. We have already been divorced for several years, but we have not legally stamped it. I don’t think much needs to be said.”
Regarding potential legal action, she stated, “I’m not worried about stories as precedents. You don’t have to be. Malicious commentators who don’t know what’s going on will be criminally punished.”
Areum originally debuted in the entertainment industry as a new member of T-ara in 2012. She married a non-famous man in 2019 and had a son, followed by the birth of her second child last year.
