what is Fortnite Delulu Mode?
Just when you thought Fortnite already had too many battle royale modes, Epic Games has introduced Delulu. this new mode stands out substantially from other battle royale variations due to its core features: proximity voice chat and the encouragement of mid-game teaming with players outside your initial group. However, despite the collaborative aspect, only one player can ultimately emerge victorious. Attempts to share victory, like Katniss and Peeta’s berry strategy, will not succeed here.
Delulu feels like a blend of Fortnite’s standard Battle Royale and Party Royale modes – a battle royale centered around socializing. A unique emote allows players to join and leave parties on the fly, fostering dynamic alliances. The mode explicitly allows teaming beyond the standard party size limit, encouraging extensive collaboration.
The social aspect is paramount. A microphone and enabled in-game voice chat set to “Everybody” are required to even queue for Delulu. While you can drop in with friends, you’ll ultimately need to eliminate them to secure a solo victory.
Availability and Schedule
Currently, Delulu is a weekend-only mode, available from Friday morning to Monday morning. It is indeed scheduled to return each subsequent Friday for the same duration.
Strategic Considerations & Tips
Delulu presents a unique strategic landscape. While forming alliances is encouraged, remember that only one player can win. Here are some initial considerations:
- Communication is Key: Proximity voice chat is central. Effective communication is vital for coordinating attacks, sharing resources, and identifying potential betrayals.
- Trust is Earned, Not Given: Alliances are fluid. Be prepared for backstabs and shifting loyalties.
- Resource Management: Sharing resources can strengthen alliances, but be mindful of your own needs.
- Positioning: Maintaining a strong position is crucial, even with allies. Don’t become overly reliant on others.
