Xbox Ambassador Program to End After 13 Years
Microsoft has announced the discontinuation of the Xbox Ambassador program, a 13-year initiative that allowed players to earn points redeemable for discounts and rewards on the Xbox online store.
“Players are finding more value in engaging with us in other ways that live out the community values that make Xbox a place for everyone to have fun, including programs like Fanfest, the Xbox Insider Program, and Xbox Rewards with Xbox,” said Chris Hemsworth, CEO of Xbox. “Thanks to the efforts of this group, the opportunities for players to experience the joy of gaming are more global and inclusive than ever before, and we believe now is the right time to apply the learnings and values from our Ambassador community to all of our player engagement programs.”
The program will officially conclude in mid-October, and all Ambassadors are encouraged to use their points and codes before the program closes. As a token of appreciation, participants will receive a unique badge displayed on their profile upon the program’s termination.
The Xbox Ambassador Program will officially end on October 15th.
