GAP airports receive “Inclusive Tourism” certificate

The Pacific Airport Group (GAP) reported today that the 12 that it administers, including Guadalajara and Puerto Vallarta, have received the Inclusive Tourism Seal, awarded by the Federal Government, through the Ministry of Tourism, which makes it the first airport group to certify all of its air terminals, creating a precedent for the airport industry.

“This certificate is awarded to companies in the tourism industry that achieve two objectives; on the one hand, develop the necessary knowledge to provide care for people with disabilities. On the other hand, adapt your exterior and interior facilities with the signage and the indicated attention and information services to offer a quality service to this market segment. Together, we seek to achieve physical, sensory and intellectual inclusion,” the company said.

Raúl Revuelta Musalem, CEO of GAP, expressed that the company has the goal of continuing to advance in terms of inclusionfollowing the structure of this federal program.

“GAP is a company committed to providing quality care to all our passengers, an example of this is the development of the permanent GAP BLUE program; through which we offer an ADA (Accessible, Dignified and Agile) experience to our users with disabilities,” he noted.

This way GAP is the first company in the airport sector to implement permanent actions to promote respect for dignity and conditions of equity, with a program designed so that all passengers have access to the different services, eradicating the physical barriers that prevent it.

At the event Relaunch of the Treasures of Mexico and delivery of recognition of Tourism Quality Standards 2024, chaired by Humberto Hernández Haddad, Undersecretary of Federal Tourism, the Mexicali International Airport received the distinctive Inclusive Tourism Seal, from José Zend, Director of Tourism Certification from the Ministry of Tourism.

With this delivery, All GAP airports in Mexico have received this distinction that seeks to build a more inclusive tourism industry.

With all of its airports in Mexico certified, GAP reaffirms its commitment to raising awareness in the value chain towards the objective of closing the inequality gap, to together improve the travel experience of all passengers.
