IMTS 2024: The Largest Machine Tool Exhibition in North America
IMTS 2024, the largest machine tool exhibition and marketplace in North America, will be held from September 9th to 14th at McCormick Place in Chicago, USA. The exhibition will feature over 1,600 exhibitors showcasing manufacturing solutions, including CNC machining, automation, robots, software, inspection, and innovative digital technologies.
Boasting over 1.2 million square feet of space, the show attracts visitors from over 110 countries each year. The exhibition halls occupy four buildings in McCormick Place, each dedicated to a specific product category. Various events, including company booth exhibitions, conferences, and a student summit introducing the industry to the next generation, will be held over the course of six days.

About 20 Korean companies, including YG-1, Rainbow Robotics, Eunsung, Dyne, Dongsan Bearing, and DN Solutions, will participate in the exhibition. YG-1, a global tooling solution provider, will be the largest Korean company to attend IMTS 2024 this year, showcasing a wide range of indexable solutions, solid carbide drills, end mills, reamers, inserts, innovative tap solutions, tool holders, and adapters.
IMTS is hosted by The Association For Manufacturing Technology (AMT), a U.S.-based representative organization for manufacturing technology suppliers. AMT serves as an industry voice to accelerate innovation, enhance global competitiveness, and develop the advanced manufacturing workforce of the future.
“There has never been a better time to be a manufacturer, as the solutions showcased at IMTS 2024 this year are changing the dynamics of manufacturing,” said Douglas K. Woods, AMT President. “Advanced technologies make it easier to become a best-in-class manufacturer. Even with less capital, companies can accelerate good ideas, drive revenue and lower costs more easily than they did 10 or 20 years ago.”
IMTS, first held in Cleveland, Ohio in 1927, was originally called the International Machine Tool Show. It was renamed to the current IMTS in 1990 to reflect the growing technologies of the time, including welding, lubrication, and materials engineering.
