WhatsApp Introduces Exciting New Features for Enhanced User Experience
WhatsApp is continuously working on innovative features to improve user experience. Two notable features currently in development are the ability to create and share custom sticker packs with friends and family, as well as the introduction of QR codes for channels.
A new notification feature has been spotted in the latest WhatsApp Android beta app version 2.24.22.21. This feature allows users to receive notification alerts when they miss status updates from their contacts. The feature is particularly useful for individuals who do not regularly check the status updates section of the app.
For users who frequently interact with certain contacts or mark them as favorites, this feature will also send notification alerts for new status updates. Given that status updates disappear after 24 hours, this feature can be especially helpful for users with a large number of contacts.

The notification feature for status updates can be found in the app’s Settings > Notifications section and is turned off by default. Users must manually enable this feature to start receiving notifications. Currently, this feature is only available to select beta testers, but it is expected to roll out to more users in the coming days.
Share your thoughts on this new feature in the comments section. Do you think this notification feature is useful, or do you consider it unnecessary?
