The third season of Netflix’s Ginny & Georgia introduced a surprising pregnancy possibility, leaving fans and even the show’s creators guessing about the father’s identity. The season,which premiered June 5,saw Georgia (Brianne Howey) initially feigning a pregnancy using her daughter Ginny’s (antonia Gentry) test,only to later sleep with Joe (Raymond ablack) after a breakup with Paul (Scott Porter).
The finale hinted at a possible pregnancy for Georgia, but the show’s creator, Sarah Lampert, revealed that the father’s identity is still up in the air as they head into season 4. “when we entered the season 4 writers’ room, I knew unequivocally without a doubt whose baby it was,” Lampert said. “I came into the writers’ room and I said, ‘Here’s whose baby it is. Change my mind.’ The writers’ room is phenomenal… So it wasn’t decided.”
Adding to the mystery, cast members have their own theories. Ablack expressed his hope that Joe is the father. “In my heart, Joe is the father,” he said. ”But I don’t know. I have no idea. I’m as eager for episode 1 of season 4 as everyone else is to find that truth.”
Porter, though, suggested his character Paul might be more skeptical this time around. “It’s one of those fool me once, fool me twice situations here. I think Paul is going to think long and hard about anything else that comes out of Georgia’s mouth,” Porter stated.
Diesel La Torraca,who plays Austin,is also rooting for Joe,citing their history and connection. Chelsea Clark even joked about a potential “throwback” option: Zion, ginny’s dad.
“It would be wild if it was Zion’s [nathan Mitchell] baby,” chelsea Clark said.
