Chemistry laboratory technology projects involve determining the contents of a given unknown sample and preparing compounds. Competitors must use laboratory organization and management skills, experimental execution skills, and different analytical methods, experimental methods, and information systems.
Lu Jingyi: A Gold Medalist in Chemical Laboratory Technology
Lu Jingyi, a student from Henan Chemical Technician College, won the gold medal in the chemical laboratory technology project. She spent less than 15 days at home in the past two years, focusing on preparing for the competition. Lu Jingyi’s motivation was to win glory for her country and secure better career development in the future.
Li Hongyu: Breaking the Japanese Monopoly in Information Network Cabling
Li Hongyu, 19, from Tianjin, won a gold medal in the information network cabling event, breaking the 17-year Japanese monopoly in this event. The competition involved using Ethernet, LAN technology, and office/home network technology to maintain comprehensive cabling.
Zhou Yuxin: A Gold Medalist in Logistics and Shipping
Zhou Yuxin won the gold medal in the logistics and shipping project, which requires competitors to realize the entire logistics chain and transport goods safely and efficiently. Zhou Yuxin credited her team’s support and her own efforts for her success.
Industry 4.0: A Competition of Automation and Intelligence
Industry 4.0 contestants Lu Junwei and Xie Huixuan won the “Albert Vidal” award with the highest score in the World Skills Competition. This competition aims to improve production efficiency, flexibility, and sustainability through intelligent manufacturing, the Internet of Things, and big data analysis.
