[디지털투데이 AI리포터] Mobile media Phone Arena reported on the 20th (local time) that Google plans to add a feature to “Circle to Search” that allows users to quickly share a specific part of the mobile phone screen.

Circle to Search is a feature that allows users to search for information and copy text by drawing a circle on the screen. The new update will allow users to copy the circled area as an image to edit or share with others.

This feature is expected to be useful when sharing specific parts of apps, documents, and other visual materials. Currently you have to take a screenshot and then crop it to capture only part of the screen.

In addition to the new screenshot feature, the design of the Circle to Search feature will be slightly changed. The currently selected area is enclosed in parentheses, but the new area appears squarer and should be less shiny.

It’s unknown when Pixel phones will be updated with these new features. It’s likely to be included in future Pixel feature releases and could even be announced at Google I/O alongside the next generation of Android 15.
