Goose Creek and North Charleston See Multiple Incidents Involving Vehicle Crashes and Criminal Activity
Goose Creek and North Charleston, South Carolina, have been the sites of several notable incidents in recent years involving vehicle crashes and criminal activity, according to reports.
In a case dating back to , Berkeley County Sheriff’s deputies arrested 23-year-old Travis Hoard of North Charleston following an attempted armed robbery at the Red Bank Road Family Dollar in Goose Creek. According to the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office, two armed men wearing ski masks entered the store on , and attempted to rob two people before leaving without obtaining anything.

More recently, on , Mario Alavez Hernandez was charged with involuntary manslaughter in connection with a deadly crash at the intersection of Highway 78 and N.A.D Road in North Charleston. Investigators determined that improperly secured scrap metal fell from Hernandez’s vehicle, contributing to a collision that resulted in the death of Sach’e Brown, 33, who died at the scene.
