Simultaneous evaluation of national team selection
The 94th National Men’s Weightlifting Championships and the 36th National Women’s Weightlifting Championships will be held for 8 days from the 9th to the 16th at the weightlifting stadium in Goseong-gun.
The event hosted by the Korea Weightlifting Federation and co-hosted by the Gyeongnam Weightlifting Federation and Goseong-gun, is attended by 400 middle and high school, college, and general male and female athletes. It also serves as an evaluation match for the national team selection.
Goseong-gun has been hosting the national men’s and women’s weightlifting championships for five consecutive years. It has signed an agreement with the Korea Weightlifting Federation to hold the event until 2023.
“Goseong-gun is working with the Korea Weightlifting Federation to expand the base of weightlifting events by holding this year’s life sports weightlifting competition in addition to this competition based on a weightlifting stadium,” said Governor Baek Doo-hyeon.
