Govee has released the Table Lamp Classic, a portable smart lamp designed as a more affordable alternative to high-end portable lighting options such as the Philips Hue Go. As of May 11, 2026, the rechargeable device is available on Amazon for $63.99, which represents a $16 discount from its $79.99 price point, according to reporting from The Verge.

The hardware is centered around a built-in 4,800mAh battery. The operational lifespan of the battery varies significantly based on the lighting mode selected; the lamp can last up to 30 hours when colored lighting is enabled, but this duration drops to approximately five hours when utilizing brighter white lighting.

Hardware Specifications and Competitive Positioning

In terms of light output, the Govee Table Lamp Classic delivers up to 500 lumens of brightness. While this makes the device brighter than the Philips Hue Go, it offers less battery longevity than the Philips alternative, which the manufacturer claims can last up to 48 hours on a single charge.

The device is designed to be lightweight for transport between rooms or for outdoor use. However, it lacks the IP54 weather resistance rating found on the Philips Hue Go, meaning it does not provide the same level of protection against rain and splashes when used outside.
