On October 16, 2026, the Gyeonggi Creative Campus will host its second outdoor film concert, Island Cine,
bringing jazz performances and classic movie soundtracks to a grassy lawn on Daebu Island, ghtimes.kr reported.
While the first installment in June focused on a summer evening of ocean themes and classical ensemble arrangements, the upcoming autumn edition pairs the West Coast sunset with live jazz and popular music. The program features the jazz band Pandora, which will perform arrangements of well-known film tracks alongside soul and standard tunes.
Outdoor Lawn Setups Contrast With June Indoor-Style Classical Focus
The campus is transforming its lawn into a picnic-style viewing space where visitors can bring mats and camping chairs, contrasting with the seated classical format used during the June event. Organizers designed the open-air layout to let audiences experience the shifting evening atmosphere of Daebu Island as the program transitions from film themes to energetic live music.
Pandora’s setlist includes Cinema Paradiso
from the film Cinema and City of Stars
from La La Land, alongside jazz and soul standards like Fly Me to the Moon
and Isn’t She Lovely.
The band will also perform familiar Korean pop and folk tracks, including About Romance
and Bravo My Life,
to engage a broad generational audience.
Free Admission Caps at One Hundred Advance Registrants
Admission to the autumn concert is free, but organizers have capped advance registration at 100 people to maintain a comfortable viewing environment on the lawn. Detailed participation information and registration links are available on the official Gyeonggi Creative Campus website.
Last June showcased a summer night where the sea, film, and classical music harmonized, and this time we have prepared a performance where anyone can comfortably enjoy film music and jazz amidst the autumn atmosphere embracing Daebu Island’s beautiful scenery,
a Gyeonggi Creative Campus representative said, according to ghtimes.kr.
