Jez Corden of Windows Central reports that an internally developed handheld is not currently⁢ in development. Though,⁣ this strategic change has not resulted in any layoffs.

Despite the delay‍ of a native Xbox device, Microsoft remains invested⁤ in the handheld market. The company is collaborating with ASUS on “Project Kennan,” a third-party console expected to launch in 2025.
