Jaipur – A priest of Rajasthan’s Ajmer Dargah has been arrested for threatening former BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma. The beheader of Nupur Sharma, who made anti-Prophet remarks, promised to give his house. He released the threatening message through a video. Following this, an FIR was lodged against a priest named Salman Chisti on Monday night.
He says that he will give his house to whoever brings Nupur Sharma’s head. The video clip also says that he will shoot Nupur. ‘You must answer for all Muslim countries. I am saying this from Ajmer in Rajasthan.’ – Chisti explained in the video.
Police officer Dalveer Singh Faujder said that Chisti has a criminal background. Meanwhile, Ajmer Dargah’s office dismissed the video. The office also stated that Ajmer Dargah is a place of religious harmony. The message in the video is not that of the dargah. Dargah officials also said that they condemn Chisti’s statement.
