Household Loans in Korea’s Five Largest Banks Increase by 2 Trillion Won in December

[비즈니스포스트] Household loans from Korea’s five largest banks increased by about 2 trillion won in December last year.

According to the financial sector on the 2nd, the home loan balance of five banks, including KB Kookmin, Shinhan, Hana, Woori, and NH Nonghyup, at the end of December last year was 692.4094 trillion.

It was an increase of KRW 2.0238 trillion from the figure in November last year (KRW 690.3856 trillion), showing an increase for 8 consecutive months.

However, the increase increased from October (KRW 3.6825 trillion) to November (KRW 4.3737 trillion) and then decreased again in December.

Mortgage loans led the overall increase in home loans.

The balance of mortgage loans at the end of December was 529.8922 trillion won, an increase of 3.6699 trillion won compared to the previous month.
