Al Wahda won the Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank Cup title, for the third time in its history, after defeating Al Ain with a score of (1-0), in the final match that was held at Al Nahyan Stadium.

Lucas Pimenta scored Al Wahda’s goal in the 15th minute, with a header that went past goalkeeper Khaled Issa from the left corner.

Al Ain was eliminated from the President’s Cup tournament, after losing to Ittihad Kalba, with a score of (1-2), in the quarter-finals. Al Ain also occupies third place in the ADNOC Professional League standings, with 36 points from 19 matches, 16 points behind Al-Wasl are the leaders, with a postponed match remaining.

Al Ain fans had given Argentine coach Hernan Crespo a deadline to compete for the AFC Champions League title, after the Emirati team managed to qualify for the final of the Asian Championship, after eliminating Al-Nassr in the quarter-finals on penalties, after an overall draw (4-4). Then Al Hilal was eliminated in the semi-finals with a total score of (5-4), with the sum of the two home and away matches.

Al Ain is scheduled to meet its Japanese counterpart, Yokohama F. Marinos, in the AFC Champions League final, with the first leg taking place in Japan on May 11, then the return match will be held at Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium on the 25th of this month.
