Hyundai Motor Company and Kia Motors are launching vehicle-only OTT services.

Today, Hyundai Motor Company and Kia Motors announced that they will be releasing a cinema function that allows you to watch OTT services including Watcha and Wave through your vehicle’s display from the 1st of next month. Functions are added via remote infotainment updates, and updates will be carried out sequentially, starting with major models from Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis. In order to activate the cinema function, you need to register for ‘Streaming Plus’, the paid service of the ‘Connected Car Service’ app.

The subscription fee for the service is 7,700 won per month, and there is a separate OTT subscription fee. However, for safety reasons, this function can only be used when parking.
