“I am more interested in communicating with the media than any other government” in response to the presidential office’s request for an interview with a media group

Regarding the request of six media organizations to meet with the president, the Office of the President said, “We are more interested in communicating with the media than any other government.”

An official from the presidential office met with reporters at the Yongsan government building this afternoon and answered the question, “Last week, media organizations suggested that they would like to share their concerns about democracy and freedom of speech with President Yoon. How do you review that it?”

An official from the President’s office said, “I state clearly that we are making various systems, including door stepping, for various communications,” and said, “There is no change in our mind to revive the will and the purpose.”

Earlier, on the 25th, six media organizations, including the Korean Association of Journalists and the Association of Broadcast Journalists, held a press conference and demanded an official meeting with President Yoon.

Media organizations requested a meeting with the president, saying, “There are a series of cases where the president directly mentions reports and media companies specifically.”

On the other hand, an official from the presidential office said, “We are very aware that a doorstep is a valuable communication channel created by the president and journalists together. “I am thinking about it,” he said.
