Vidya Balan has acted in films like Kahani 2, Durgarani Singh, Begum Jaan, Natkhat, Sherni and Jalsa which do not give much importance to glamor. The actress is open about acting in movies that do not have a glamor component. “I do not think glamor is an integral part of a movie,” she said.
‘I do not pay much attention to such things. Glamor is not a factor in my choice of movies. I’m coming here to tell stories. I get stories from here. Each of them will be completely different from time to time. I accept stories that are very close to reality .’- Vidya says.
Vidya Balan made her Hindi film debut in 2005 with Parineeta. Vidya has gained attention in Bollywood through her various female roles. The characters played by Vidya brought about great changes in contemporary commercial films. ‘When I decide to do a film, I think about how I got into that film. That is the first consideration. I’m not sure what people expect from me. Because, everyone is expecting something in return. I can’t do a character that satisfies everyone .’- Vidya clarified.
‘If you are a confident woman you will be right. Your voice may frighten many. We all have a voice. But many of us do not use it properly. ‘- Vidya added.
