“if my wife decides to support Cabral Libii, it’s because I wouldn’t have convinced her”

Maitre Christian Timbane Bomo claims to have already gathered support and is confident about his participation in the 2025 presidential election in Cameroon.

This Cameroonian lawyer, who is running as an independent candidate, claims to have already rallied 10 municipal councilors to his cause.

However, a peculiarity of this candidacy is that the wife of Maitre Timbane, Anne Féconde Noah Biloa, has decided to support another opposition candidate, Cabral Libii.

Questioned on this subject, Master Timbane declares: “If my wife decides to support Cabral Libii, it is because I would not have convinced her”. This declaration underlines the political differences within the couple, but does not seem to undermine the determination of Maitre Timbane to stand for the presidential election.

To be an independent candidate in Cameroon, it is necessary to present at least three hundred personalities from the ten regions of the country, with a minimum of thirty supporters per region.

The candidacy of Maître Christian Timbane Bomo brings a new dynamic to the Cameroonian political scene. As a lawyer, he puts forward his experience and legal skills to propose solutions to the country’s problems. He is running as an independent candidate, which allows him to stand out from traditional political parties and offer an alternative to voters.

It remains to be seen how the electoral campaign will evolve and what the concrete proposals of Maitre Timbane will be for the development of Cameroon. His candidacy, as well as his wife’s support for another candidate, Cabral Libii, testify to the diversity of political choices among the Cameroonian population. The 2025 presidential election therefore promises to be a key moment for democracy in Cameroon.
