The soccer team, led by coach Paulo Bento, will play the first leg of the first leg of the final qualifier against Iraq at the Seoul World Cup Stadium at 8 pm on September 2nd. The second leg of the final qualifying match will be played against Lebanon at the Suwon World Cup Stadium on September 7 at 8 pm.
In the final round of the Qatar World Cup, Korea was included in Group A along with teams from the Middle East, including Iran, the United Arab Emirates, Iraq, Syria and Lebanon.
The six teams play a home-and-away full league, and the top two in each group advance to the World Cup finals. The third-placed teams in each group play a play-off and then the team that advances to the finals is determined through play-offs for each continent.
