Thiruvananthapuram: The first century was born at the Kariyavattam Greenfield International Stadium. Shubman Gill scored his maiden century at the Kariyavattam Stadium in the third match of the ODI series against Sri Lanka. Gill scored his second ODI century in 89 balls. The player who scored 116 runs was dismissed by the Lankan player. India in a strong position against Lanka as the game enters 40 overs.
Gill scored his century innings by hitting 14 fours and two sixes in 97 balls. With the scoreboard standing at 95, skipper Rohit Sharma was dismissed and forged a 121-run partnership with Virat Kohli. Kohli scored his 65th career century.
