“In Haryana, children are interested in sports. The state has a sports culture. Those who want to own the achievements should give 100% effort and they can certainly lead by example,” he said after receiving the award.
“It’s a great pleasure to see young people taking part in athletics. It’s a special feeling. Working hard at the stadium is our meditation, we work hard there for more than 8-10 hours,” said Neeraj.
Neeraj won more praise with his success at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Neeraj won the gold medal in the men’s javelin event. He thus became the second Indian to win gold in an individual sport at the Olympics.

Actor Ranveer Singh was also felicitated with the Best Achievement Award. Former captain and 1983 World Cup winner Kapil Dev was present on the occasion. Kulzum Shadab Wahab, who worked with acid attack survivors, received a special mention award.
