Clairefontaine, France, where the final Olympic qualifiers between Indonesia and Guinea took place.

It was a small stadium similar to a training ground, and dozens of Indonesian fans prayed for Shin Tae-yong to advance to the Olympics.

The rather poor stadium facilities eventually became poison.

An unexpected penalty was called when the Guinea striker went down, but the video review was not possible.

Indonesia, trailing after conceding the first goal, failed to score a consolation goal and conceded another penalty midway through the second half, and coach Shin Tae-yong protested fiercely.

Director Shin, who could not control his anger, received two cards at once and was thrown out.

In the end, Indonesia lost 1-0 to Guinea and failed to progress to the Olympics for the first time in 68 years.

Although the team was thwarted during the final hurdle of the Olympics, coach Shin Tae-yong continued to create a sensation as the leader of the Korean Wave in Southeast Asian football by defeating Korea in the quarter-finals.

Shin Tae-yong, who took Indonesian football to the next level, now takes on a new challenge in the North, Central and American World Cup Asian qualifiers.
