INE has received 102 security requests for candidates

The National Electoral Institute (INE) has received 102 security requests for candidates for federal election positions, of which six withdrew their request.

As of April 2, the INE has 96 requests that have already been granted or are in process.

The electoral authority has indicated that security institutions must provide a response on security measures within a maximum period of 48 hours.

Once the person’s risk analysis has been carried out, the measures will be determined depending on whether the risk is low, medium or high.

In the case of candidacies at the local level, you must request the Local Electoral Public Body (OPLE) or the INE and have it channeled to the corresponding authority. And once it is received, it goes to the state security authorities.
