This is what the Directorate of Military Intelligence of Ukraine revealed on social media, saying that it had intercepted Russian military communications.

On the 23rd, a soldier from the Russian Army’s 18th Separate Marine Corps referred to the North Korean army as ‘K-Battalion’ while talking on the phone about the deployment of North Korean troops.

“He (a Russian colleague) is talking to another colleague about that ‘Battalion K’ who they give guns and ammunition to?

They also announced plans to use one translator for every 30 North Korean soldiers.

“We’re already translating the damn thing Long story short, there will be one translator for every 30 people.”

Russian soldiers called the North Korean troops sent ‘Chinese’ and expressed dissatisfaction with the provision of support personnel to them.

“Chinese people… they stand in the market like they’re drinking dust.”

Ukraine’s General Intelligence Service said a plan to deploy three Russian soldiers for every 30 North Korean soldiers as well as interpreters is being promoted, but there is doubt within the Russian military about its feasibility.

Ukrainian authorities announced on the 23rd that they were observing North Korean troops in Kursk Oblast, mainland Russia, where their troops are operating.
