“Ride sharing”, where ordinary drivers use private cars to transport people for a fee, will be introduced from April this year in limited areas and under the control of taxi companies.
At the government’s Digital Financial and Administrative Reform Conference on the 22nd, it was reported that around 20 local governments across the country are expected to start implementing ride sharing.
As an exception, some local governments have proposed starting the project as early as the middle of next month, and preparations are underway.
