Access to ear surgery can be life-changing, particularly in regions where healthcare resources are limited. Hearing loss considerably impacts quality of life, affecting dialog, education, and social interaction. This program demonstrates a commitment to addressing a critical health need and promoting community well-being. The inclusion of an educational component is particularly valuable, as it empowers individuals to take proactive steps towards maintaining their ear health and seeking timely treatment when necessary. Further data on the prevalence of hearing loss in Côte d’Ivoire would provide valuable context for understanding the scale of this need.
