Jakarta Flooding: 9 RTs & 1 Road Affected on February 1, 2026

Flooding Impacts Parts of Jakarta on Sunday

Flooding affected parts of West Jakarta and North Jakarta this morning, . Water levels reached between 10 and 20 centimeters, according to the DKI Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD).

As of 6:00 AM local time, the BPBD reported that flooding impacted the Tegal Alur subdistrict, as well as Marunda and Kapuk Muara in North Jakarta.

“BPBD records show that currently there are 9 RT (neighborhood units) and 1 road segment affected,” stated Mohamad Yohan, Head of Data and Information Center at the DKI Jakarta BPBD, to reporters.

The flooding is attributed to overflowing water from the Angke River and the Nagrak River. In Tegal Alur, the overflow of the Semongol River also contributed to the flooding.

Current Situation Breakdown

Here’s a breakdown of the flooding as of 6:00 AM local time:

West Jakarta

  • Tegal Alur Subdistrict: 2 RT
  • Water Level: 20 cm
  • Cause: Heavy rainfall and overflow from the Semongol River

North Jakarta

  • Marunda Subdistrict: 6 RT
  • Kapuk Muara Subdistrict: 1 RT
  • Water Level: 10 cm
  • Cause: Heavy rainfall, overflow from the Angke River, and overflow from the Nagrak River

Evacuation Efforts

Evacuation centers have been established in North Jakarta:

  • Marunda Subdistrict
    • Nurul Jannah Mosque: 50 families (125 people)
    • Robiatul Adawiyah Elementary School: 62 families (225 people)

One road is currently flooded:

  • Jl. Kamal Raya, Tegal Alur Subdistrict, West Jakarta
  • Water Level: 15 cm
  • Cause: Heavy rainfall and overflow from the Semongol River

The DKI Jakarta BPBD has deployed personnel to monitor the flood situation in affected areas. Coordination is underway with the Public Works Department, the Road Infrastructure Department, and the Fire and Rescue Department to pump out floodwater and ensure drainage systems are functioning properly.
