[헤럴드경제=한지숙 기자] Japan’s Sony’s PlayStation division and Nintendo have joined in sanctions against Russia for invading Ukraine and halted exports of goods to Russia, Bloomberg News reported on the 10th (local time).

Sony announced on the same day that the online PlayStation Store and the release of its famous game ‘Gran Turismo 7’ in Russia have been suspended.

Nintendo made the same decision due to delays in shipping and payment processing, a Nintendo spokesperson said the day before. As Nintendo made the payment process difficult in rubles, the Russian e-shop went into maintenance procedures.

Earlier, Xbox maker Microsoft also stopped selling and servicing new products in Russia for similar reasons.

Leading companies from around the world are withdrawing from Russia one after another for fear of brand, corporate reputation, and financial sanctions.
