Ivory Coast representative midfielder Frank Kessie (26) is a new member of the Saudi first league Al Ahli, to which he arrived from the Spanish champion Barcelona. The value of the transfer is 12.5 million euros.

Kessie arrived in Barcelona last summer as a free agent from Milan and accumulated 1797 minutes.

With the arrival of Ilkay Gündogan, his minutes will be reduced, and after talking with coach Xavi, he decided to leave the club, dissatisfied with his status.

Al Ahli has already brought in a number of players with extensive European experience this season. Kessie’s new teammates will be ex-Manchester City player Riyad Mahrez, ex-Liverpool striker Roberto Firmino, ex-Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy and ex-Newcastle striker Allan Saint-Maximin.
