Katana Chance Reflects on WWE Journey, Royal Rumble Save
Kacy Catanzaro, known to WWE fans as Katana Chance, recently discussed her transition to professional wrestling after gaining recognition on “American Ninja Warrior.” Chance, who was released from WWE in May 2025, recalled key moments, including her memorable Royal Rumble appearance.
Chance told Chris Van Vliet she was contacted by WWE after appearing in Sports Illustrated’s “50 Fittest Women Athletes.” Although initially considered for “Tough Enough,” she directly signed with NXT. Her 2019 Royal Rumble debut proved critically important. “I was in such awe of the arena and how many people were there,” Chance said,describing the experience.
Chance is especially grateful for her handstand save during that Rumble match. “People still will be like, Oh, yeah, your Rumble save was so cool,” she said.
