Two films with Shaji Kailas and Prithviraj were released last year. Tiger and Kappa. The tiger was the first to arrive. The film was released theatrically on July 7 last year. On August 4, the film was released as an OTT release via Amazon Prime. Now eight months later, the Tamil version of the dubbed movie has been released in Tamil Nadu. The film has started showing in around 65 screens in Tamil Nadu. The release of the film was yesterday (March 3). The film is released in Tamil Nadu by Tirupati Pictures.
Malayalam version of Katuva collected 25 crores in its first weekend of release. This was Prithviraj’s best initial letter in his career till then. Tiger has achieved the Janganamana collection in eight days in the first four days itself. The film was also helped by the successful release of the foreign dubbed versions with great publicity.

Tiger was Shaji Kailash’s comeback film. Katuva was the first film announced by Shaji Kailas after a gap of eight years in Malayalam. But during the break in Tiger’s schedule, Shaji ‘Elon’ announced Mohanlal and completed the shoot. But Tiger was released first. Meanwhile, the distributors are worried that the Tamil version of the film will be well received. After Tiger, Shaji Kailas and Kappa Prithviraj also won the hearts of the audience.
